Evette Jenkins age 61, gained her wings from her Lord the early morning of Monday, September 26, 2022, in Blakely, Georgia. She was born December 21, 1960, in West Palm Beach County, to the late Corine Ford Jenkins McKenzie and Robert Jenkins. Evette’s educations began in West Palm Beach County schools and ended at Florida Memorial College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. Upon graduation, she began and ended her career with the State of Florida. After retirement, Evette continues to live her life with Jesus Christ and her kingdom of animals in Blakely, Georgia. She also had a love for the earth as she nurtured it to produce different vegetables and fruits.
Evette was a faithful and dedicated church member of Glorious Community Holiness Church. Because of the person Evette was, peoples came to care for her unselfishly and lovingly. Gloria Kornegay, an unselfish and loving dear friend, and Jasmine Hughes, an unselfish and loving sister, served as Evette’s primary caregivers during the trying years with the fight for life with cancer. While living in Blakely, Evette found true and honorable friendships, referred to as the Blakely family. This Blakely family provided supplemental care to her, her primary caregivers, her animals, and land during and after her sick days.
