Ms. Dianne "Smiley Lawson

Diane Lawson was born on November 30, 1957 to the late Willie Scott and Mattie Will Lawson in Miami, Florida. After birth, Diane moved to Albany, Georgia.

At an early age, Diane gave her life to Christ.

Diane received her education in the Dougherty County School System. After school, Diane traveled many cities as a painter; which she loved so very much.

“Smiley”, as she was fondly called, was a very enthusiastic, and outgoing individual. When she was in company of friends and family, she would always make you smile. Smiley was one of kind that captured the hearts of everyone around her.

Diane departed her life to be with our Heavenly Father on October 30, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Scott; her mother, Mattie Will Lawson; her brother, Jessie Richardson; her niece, Katherine Solomon.

She leaves to cherish the fondest of memories to her daughter, Lashamma Lawson of Albany GA; three sisters, Jannie Lawson and Mary Lawson, both of Albany GA, Lottie Curtis of Raidscliff KY; three brothers, Leonard Lawson, and Defenson (Monica) Lawson, both of Albany GA, Johnathan ( Sandra) Lawson of Macon, GA; two grandsons, Jermaine Spence, Jr. and Jordan Spence, both of Albany, GA; twelve nieces, seven nephews, and a host of other relatives, and friends
