The life of our beloved Patricia began on December 9, 1955 in Camilla, Georgia to the late Ebb Hodges,

Pat gave her life to Christ at an early age while attending New Salem Baptist Church in Baconton, Georgia. Pat attended Mitchell County School System from kindergarten to 12th grade. At the age of 12,
Pat became a caretaker for her cousin. She remained a caretaker until she graduated from Mitchell County High School in 1973. She attended Albany State University, and thereafter decided to enlist in the United States Army. She served in the Army for 12 years (1975-1987) and received numerous
awards…

After being honorably discharged from the Army, Pat relocated to Lorton, Virginia where she became a devoted member of Christian Hope Center Church under the leadership of Pastors Robert & Shirley Burton. She remained a faithful member by serving on the usher board, hospitality, finance ministry,
children’s church teacher and Advance Party member. Pat later became a member of Victory Christian Ministries International under the leadership of Pastors Tony & Cynthia Brazelton. She remained a
faithful member by serving on the finance ministry, hospitality, usher board and Deacon board.

Pat was employed by The Washington Post in Washington DC for 17 years as a Senior Advertising Representative. She retired from the Washington Post in 2008. After retirement, Pat decided to reenter the workforce. She landed a government contracting job with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).
She remained with CSC until her contract ended in 2012. Pat began searching the workforce again and landed a job with Walmart, but later resigned. Shortly after Pat resigned from Walmart she relocated to Albany, Georgia to reside with her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Robert. While in Albany, Pat
went back in the workforce to provide in-home care by assisting families in need. Pat remained in this field until December 2021.

January 2022, Pat was diagnosed with a serious illness but remained faithful and determined to live a long life. June 2022, Pat’s health began to decline where she succumbed to her illness.

Well well, with a heavy but thankful Heart. Pat will be missed. I got the opportunity to speak with her on Saturday before she left this side. God knows all about us and He does not make mistakes. So to the family take care and know that Pat is in a better place. Love the only Sister in Law. Rhonda

A link in the chain of the 1973 Class of MCHS is missing. May Pat rest in heavenly peace as her memories live on. Praying for and with her family. ✝️
