Michaelina Monique Peoples was born June 18, 1989, to Tina Johns, and Michael Jackson in Long Island, New York. Monique was raised by her grandparents Carol People, and Jeffrey People.
Monique left New York as infant to move to Orlando, Florida. In 1994 she moved to Albany, GA where she attended the Dougherty County School System. Monique graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 2007.
Monique attended Albany State University for a short time, and then started her own business Granddiva Designs where she bejeweled phone cases, key chains, and other items. Monique began to use her business to bring awareness to the sickle cell community. Monique spent the later part of her days advocating for sickle cell awareness.
On March 2, 2022, Monique transitioned surrounded by loved ones. Monique leaves behind parents: Carol and Jeffrey People, Michael Jackson, and Tina Frederick. Her siblings: Crystal People, Shamikee Johns, Michael Johns, Denise Johns, Michelle Frederick, Derrick People, and Bria Motley. Her nieces, and nephews: A’Leeyah, Mikey, Quadree Anderson, Zi’Hair Burse, Jeremiah Anderson, Anthony Johns, Aidden Motley, Khlyer Evans, and Skyla Johns. Her aunts and uncles: Fred Jackson Jr, Michelle Anduze, Sarah George, David and Melva Jackson, Yvonne Floyd, Donna Peterson, and Roosevelt People. A special love, whom she loved dearly Marcus Cowart, and a host of cousins, and friends.
