Carolyn Mae Shands was born on August 31, 1963 in Albany, Georgia to the late Enoch Shands and the late Bennie Lee Christian-Shands.
She is a graduate of Monroe High School in Albany, Georgia. Carolyn pursued a career as a CNA as well as a daycare teacher in her earlier years. She was very sweet, soft, spoken person. She loved children and being a help to others when she could. She was friendly and always wore a smile. She was always that person you could call on when you needed a listening ear or to simply talk.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Shakenyna Shands, two sons, Jason Shands and Brandon Shands and one grandson who she loved dearly, Kingston (Granny), and a host of beloved friends who were like family.
