Stella Anderson Tracy
Stella Anderson Tracy was born January 26, 1933 to the late Mr. Walker Anderson and Mrs. Ella Carter Walker in Leesburg, Ga. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age by becoming a member of Wooden Gove Baptist Church. In later years, she joined Greater Zion Hope Holiness Church under the leadership of Apostle Henry Hosley where she served faithfully until her health failed. Stella was known to many as Aunt Stella Lee. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her favorite hymn was “A Charge to Keep, I have”.
Stella Anderson Tracy was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Henry Tracy on August 30, 1952. This union was blessed with four children. In addition to her parents and husband, Stella’s oldest son Henry Tracy Jr. preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Freddie Carter, Buford Carter, George Carter, Ira Carter, William Bailey, and J.C. Anderson and eight sisters, Hannah Carter, Annie Mae Carter Smith, Ella Carter Lamar, Doretha Anderson Bolden, Bernice Anderson Pollard, Willie Ruth Anderson Brown, Lucille Anderson Perry, and Wallie Anderson Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one loving son, Mr. Robert Tracy of Albany, Ga. and two beautiful daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Tracy Hawkins (Tommy) of Leesburg, Ga. and Ms. Betty Tracy (Johnny Bogan) of Albany, Ga. One loving grandson, Mr. Frankie Perry Jr. of Leesburg, Ga. One sister-in-law, Mrs. Liz Grant of Miami, Fla.
Stella Anderson Tracy is survived by two devoted nieces, Mrs. Juanita Carter Jackson (Johnny) of Leesburg, Ga. and Mrs. Bernice Daniel (Frank) of Albany, Ga.; a great niece, Mrs. Michelle Johnson (Larry) of Leesburg, Ga.; a god granddaughter, Ms. Jnyja Billings and her mother, Ms. Bonnie Monroe of Albany, Ga.; and a wonderful caregiver, Mrs. Elaine Jones of Smithville, Ga. In addition, she is also survived by four generations of nieces and nephews that she dearly loved because they each played a special role in her life
