Rosalind Reynolds Nelson is the daughter of the late Robert Reynolds, Jr. and the late Ira Reynolds. She was born November 4, 1960 in Albany, Georgia.
Rosalind joined Rocky Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and later became a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
As a youth, Rosalind attend school in Dougherty County, Georgia graduating from Monroe High School in 1979. She advance to Albany State University and also earned her cosmetology license from Wifford Academy in Bronx, New York.
An avid entrepreneur for over twenty years, Rosalind owned and operated several businesses including YaYa’s Home Cooking and her own Personal Care Provider Service. She had two strong passions; feeding any and everyone with whom she came in contact and ministering to and caring for the elderly.
On October 31, 2019, she gave up the busy walk of life and stepped into her eternal healing with her heavenly father.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Reynolds, III; grandfather, D.C. Childs.
Rosalind leaves a legacy of memories to her family including her husband, Joseph Nelson; sisters, Reketha (Adam) Huckaby, Rydeidre Reynolds, Teasha Reynolds; brothers, Fred Quimbly (Renee), Melvin Quimbly; step-children, Chistalle, Tiffany (Terrance), Terry; mother-in-law, Yvonne Nelson; nieces/daughters, Sedrika Huckaby, Kennedy Huckaby; nephews, Beau Reynolds (Ashley), Rashad Cooper, Robert Reynolds, IV, Jessie Phillips; great niece, Amari Cooper; Goddaughter, Assata Morris; aunts, Delois Ward, Bessie Reynolds, Annie Childs, Johnnie Mae Teemer, Annie Teemer, Debra Pope, Doretha Babalonka, Helen Austin, Eunice Brown, Patricia BAtton; special and dear aunt, Doris Reynolds “Dot”; great aunt, Janie Warren; Godmothers, Vulla Rowe, Pat Burroughs; uncles, William Reynolds, Henry Blanton, Lonnell Austin; brothers-in-law, Terry (Katherine), Anthony, Ronnie, Anthony; a large circle of friends, Yvette Harden, Stephanie Litman, Tammy Burroughs, Barbara Williams, Eve Camron, Ruth King, Rose Johnson, Jennie Milledge, Keith, Billy, David, Laster and a host of family and friends
