Mrs. Lennie Catherine Glenn Jones was born on November 23, 1931 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Norman Glenn and Cora McMillan Glenn.
She attended Hutto High School in Bainbridge, GA and Albany State College (University) in Albany, GA.
Lennie was married to James Jones who preceded her in death.
She enjoyed playing the piano and played for numerous churches in the surrounding cities. She glorified the Lord in her singing.
She was a member of Second Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years. She served in many areas of the church. During her absence from her home church, under watch care, she attended Fairfield Baptist Church in Lithonia, GA. She had a warm, soft hearted spirit. Lennie left us quietly in her sleep early morning on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
She was a devoted mother of three daughters, Carolyn Milledge of Albany, GA; Angela Creech (Johnny) of Decatur, GA and Rowena Coly who preceded her in death, three grandsons, Kelvin Davis, Bernardo Jones, and Recardo Brown, four granddaughters, Kimberly Creech, Deja Creech, Tara Jones and Catherine Coley, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
