Mrs. Christian Wakefield

A loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, cousin and friend
has departed this earth and went to her Heavenly home.
Christian Diane Teel- Wakefield was born at Calhoun County
Hospital on November 9, 1953 to the Late MJ and Blanche
Solomon Teel and Rufus Clemons
She joined St. Maryland Missionary Baptist Church at age 13
were she faithful served as usher on her post. She was a
graduate from Calhoun County High School in the Mighty Class
of 1972. She started her adult life by working at Sunshine from
1974 to 1979 as a Welder, later going to Lilliston as Welder
from 1979 to 1983, Peerless from 1984 to 1985 and Amy as a
clipper from 1986 to 1999 till she retired. She was a loving and
devoted mother who always put her boys and family first. She
was well known for her cooking, love for children, loving her
sisters, family and most of that Bright smile. She departed this
life on November 24, 2018 at her home in Leary GA.
Preceding her in death was Rev Willie and Rosa Clemons
Deacon Willie and Alberta Solomon, Mason James Teel Jr,
James and Irene Solomon, Allen Jackson Sr, Allen Jackson Jr,
Norman Jackson, Vearlie Culbreth, Paul Jackson, Charlie Joe
Solomon and Joe Solomon.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Santorear Lemond
(Margaret) Wakefield and Lawarren Shun (Karen)Wakefield,
their Father Warnell Wakefield, Grandson Cevion Lashun
Wakefield, Asher Christian Wakefield, Xavier Kilburn, known to
her as her other babies that she cared for and raised are
Deamberia, Marquez, Dejah, Bryan, Montez, Kayla and
Ajaylan ; Sisters Barbara(Bill) McClenton, Annette( Marvin )
Wade, Ilene Jones, Lois Clemons, Juanita Clemons-Solomon ; a
brother Rufus Chad (Janelle) Smith; Nieces and nephews
Tanika Ward, Lacey Favors, Marvin(Janet)Wade, Tiffany
McClenton, Tamesha Wade, Porcha Jones. She has several dear
cousins, friends and neighbors who she deeply loved and will
always be grateful for their support from visiting her, to also
staying with her while she gained her strength back after her
declined health and just being there throughout her life.
