Mrs. Susie Mae Wallace

Susie Mae Wallace was born in Leesburg, Georgia on February 05, 1949 to the late Johnny Wallace and the late Mary Carter Kelley. Her maternal grandparents were the late Peter Carter and the late Susie Cook Carter. They had an enduring influence on Susie and all of her siblings.

Susie was educated in the Lee County Public School. She formerly lived in Jersey City, New Jersey. She worked in the garment industry and facility management.

Susie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was affectionally known to many as “Tilly.” As a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, her smile, laugher and hugs will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Russ Sr., four siblings, Johnny James Kelley, Eva Kelley Ware, Andrew Kelley, Moses Kelley, one brother-in-law, Eugene Ware, and a niece, Amanda Kelley.

Memories of Susie will be cherished by her two sons, Eugene Russ Jr., of Moultrie, GA and Alfonzo Russ of Albany, GA, one daughter-in-law, Michelle Russ, one grandson, Je'Syiah Eugene Russ, one brother, Loran Kelly, two sisters, Patricia Kelley (David) Hunter and Martha Kelley, one sister-in-law, Dayle Kelley. She was a loving aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. She was loved by many cousins and friends.
