Mrs. Olivia Dehavilland Bivens Lewis, 70 years old was born on August 4, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Hervey and Agnes Jackson Bivens.
Mrs. Lewis was educated in the public schools of Dougherty County. She later received Nursing Training at Monroe Area Vocational Technical School. She worked at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for about 11.5 years before moving to Newark, New Jersey. She truly loved nursing and in that field, she worked for a combined 36 years, before he health declined.
Olivia was a loveable mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be missed by all who had a chance to know her. Truly one of a kind and affectionately called Jo-Jo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Tyrone Jackson, Darryl Vandiver Bivens, sisters, Linda Darnell Paul Hunter, and Brenda Laverne Bivens Hampton.
She is survived by three sons, Ricardo Demetrius Bivens of Pennsylvania, Antonio Demarcus Bivens of Albany, Georgia, and Sammarcus Tarsean Wright of West Columbia, South Carolina, one brother, Knowland Wayne Bivens, one sister, Gwendolyn Bivens Donnelly Yarbrough Badjie, one great granddaughter, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. No formal services have been planned.
