Mrs. Alice Ruth Alexander was born on Feb 24, 1965, in Americus Georgia to the late Charlie "Seaboat" Lyles and the late Mary Hodges-Lyles. She was educated in the Sumter County School System. She was employed by the Sumter County School System for twenty-three years.
Alice carried a smile that could brighten up any room that she entered. She loved going out of her way to help others. While working at the school she developed a special love for the educators, staff and children. Alice touched many lives no matter where she went.
Alice met and married che love of her life Chester "Chad" Alexander, on July 17, 2010. Alice birth one child Shemetricia Lyles-Jones whom she loved dearly. She had two grandchildren Kendrick Jones Jr. and Knowledge Jones whom she loved spending time with. If you ever got to meet Alice, you truly encountered one of GOD'S Angels.
Alice is proceeded in death by her parents Charlie "Seaboat" Lyles & Mary Hodges Lyles. She is also proceeded in death by her siblings Addie Mae Williams, Charlie Lyles Jr., Minnie Lyles, Billy Lyles, Dollie Mae Patillo, one nephew the late Benjamin Charlie Lyles the 3rd., one sister-in-law Elosie Lyles.
In addition to her husband of thirteen years, Chester "Chad" Alexander of Cuthbert Georgia. Alice leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter Shemetricia Lyles-Jones (Kendrick Jones Sr.) of Atlanta Georgia, two grandchildren Kendrick Jones Jr. and Knowledge Jones of Atlanta Georgia, five step children whom she loved as her own Rodney Alexander, Chris Alexander, Kentrell Alexander, Kimberly Alexander, Latajna Williams, one devoted sister Jospehine (Richard) Tyson of Albany Georgia, three devoted brothers Obie Lyles Sr., Ben Lyles Sr., and Jeremiah (Carolyn) Lyles of Americus Georgia, two devoted sister in law Joyce Ann Alexander Blakely Georgia and Floree Mitchell of Fort Valley Georgia, one devoted brother in law Willie Alexander, devoted nieces Teresa (Carl) Threat. Heavenly Tyson and Gloria Lyles of Albany Georgia, Lashanda Floyd of Macon Georgia, Tamakia Williams of Tyler Texas, Latina Lyles of Americus Georgia, Latricia Wilborn of Americus Georgia, devoted nephews Alphonso Williams, Obie Lyles Jr., Jamal Lyles, and Jeremy Lyles of Americus Georgia, Otis Floyd 4th of Jacksonville Florida, Charles Williams of Albany Georgia, Jeremiah Lyles of Warner Robins Georgia, Rodney Allen, Jeffery Williams of Atlanta Georgia, Christopher Lyles, Roy Gene Allen, devoted great nieces/nephews Shanice Threat, Tanisha Threatt.
