Mr.Phillip Tommie "HoneyBun" Blackshear

A Time To Be Born: Phillip Tommie Blackshear, a radiant beacon of light and love was born on November 28, 1965, to the late Alice Williams and Tommie Blackshear in Blakely, GA.

A Time To Live: Phillip was educated in the Early County School System. Phillip worked at Birdsong Peanuts for many years until his health failed him. Phillip then worked with Early Tree Service for a few years and Birdsong Temp Service.

A Time To Be Born Again: At an early age Phillip became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist church. Over the years he became a member of St. Maryland Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Roosevelt Gardner.

A Time To Rest: On June 13, 2024, the lord called him home at Early Memorial Nursing Home surrounded by family. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only but also to all who have loved his appearing.

A Time To Mourn: Phillip was preceded in death by his parents Alice Williams and Tommie Blackshear, his wife Thelma Blackshear, sister Dorothy Williams, and brother Derrick Williams.

Phillip’s life and loved he shared will forever be cherished by his children Kierra Blackshear and Aaron Trice of Dothan, AL, Justin Trice and Krystal Grace of Blakely, GA, and Dominique McKinnie Peaz (Candido) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Two Bonus Daughters: Brittany Ogden (Jermaine) of Douglasville, GA, and Shante Lee of Blakely, GA. Five Sisters: Geneva Zachary (Anthony) of Snellville, GA, Mary Davenport (Lonzie) of Blakely, GA, Shirley Williams of Americus, GA, Pankie Blackshear of Dania Bch, FL, Bobby Ann Frazier and Florence Bell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Four Brothers: Larry Williams (Dora) of Covington, GA, Lester Williams, and Reggie Williams (Brenda), Marvin Williams all of Blakely, GA. A bonus brother Charles Eaford (Tonya) of Blakely, GA. Eight Grandchildren: Kenleigh Blackshear of Dothan, AL, Kaliyah Ogden, Christoria Foster, Italy Grace, and Micah Robinson all of Blakely, GA., Marquez Peaz and Destiny Peaz of Ft. Lauderdale Fl, and Jace Ogden of Douglasville, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, brother in laws, sister in laws, one nephew Frederick favors, two bonus nephews Robert Batten Jr. and Qubaliah Hall, and a special friend for over 15 years Brenda Lee of Blakely, GA.
