Mr. William Alexander Corbett

William Alexander Corbett, age 53, of Tifton, Georgia passed on Monday, March 21, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. William grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where he attended and graduated from Open Campus High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corps for a short period of time. He enjoyed cooking and socializing with friends. William may have had some struggles, but he had a brilliant mind and lived life to the fullest. He was a foodie and dog lover who also enjoyed watching football, a good movie and shopping for new outfits or the latest sneakers. He had a kind heart and will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. Our family is grateful to know that William is finally at peace.
He is survived by his sons, Orlando O’Neal Lassiter and Adrien Corbett, partner,
Sonya Johnson, ex-wife, Mary Corbett, Mother, Shelia Ann Butler, father, William Jordan Corbett, grandmother, Geraldine Williams, uncles, Ronald Williams (Faye) and Willie B. Corbett Jr. (Carlene), aunt, Doris “Fox” Carey(Lon, deceased), brothers Darryl Melton, Wynton Corbett (Steffany), Vincent Curry, sisters, Erica Corbett, Jacquelyne Powell (Zachery), Melody Tomlin (Isaiah), Erika Morris (Derrick).
He was preceded in death by his sister, Amber Michelle Butler, aunts, Bettye
Thomas, Maggie Evans, great aunts, Ernestine McNeil (Leonard, deceased), Rosa Hines, great uncle, Eugene Jeter (Jessie, deceased), grandfathers, Alexander Williams, Willie B. Corbett Sr. and grandmother, Doris Corbett.
