Mr. Lester Hanks

Lester is preceded in death by his parents, Deacon Lester Hanks Sr. and Julia Mae Hanks; two sisters, Leslie Lee Harp and Wedia Mae Belk, and one brother Jessie Hanks.

Lester was married to the late Barbara Davis Hanks to this union two young men were born Corly (Tamesha) Hanks Phenix City, Alabama and Brian Hanks, Blakey Georgia. Lester has one grandson, Brian “BJ” Hanks II of Blakely, Georgia.

Lester leaves behind three siblings, Irene (Jimmy) Leonard of Annapolis, Maryland, Maria Hanks of Blakely, Georgia and Ellis Hanks, Sr. of Moultrie, Georgia; four close buddies Tony Harris, Willie James, Floyd Stamper and Eddie Smith. A close niece, Angereen Odom and a nephew, Micheal A. Beel (Derry), two special great nephews that he nicknamed “two teeth”, P. Jaye Lee and “Legs” D. Jaye Lee. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
