Jonathan Michael Collins-Collier aka “JAY” was born on October 17, 2003, to the late Ms. Darnetta Champion and Jonathan ”Jaycee” Collins of Columbus, Georgia.
At an early age, Jonathan was adopted by Ms. Wynette Collier. He began his education in the Montezuma area. Later in life, Jay moved to Americus, Georgia with his parents Monica and Walter Young who provided him with love, care, and support until God called him home.
Jay attended school in Sumter County where he became a Class of 2022 graduate of Americus/Sumter High School. He had plans to join the military, but God had bigger and better plans for him. Despite the challenges in Jonathan's life, he still had a love for basketball. His passion for this sport was uncontrollable therefore he found joy in being on the court. If you were looking for Jay, you could find him on a basketball court. His warm smile, kind heart, and love for basketball will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. If you knew him, you would love him because Jay never met a stranger, he loved everybody and he always kept a smile on his face.
He leaves to cherish his memories his biological father Jonathan “Jaycee” Collins of Columbus, Georgia, adoptive mother Wynette Collier, of Montezuma, Georgia, parents Monica and Walter Young of Americus, Georgia; siblings Quinton, and Aveyair, of Columbus, Georgia, DeShanda, Isaac, Malcolm, Dakota, of Montezuma, Georgia, Jaylen, Jamaya, Kylor, Nathan, Zayden, of Americus, Georgia, Navoris of Macon, Georgia, Johntavious of Mississippi, Juarez, of Atlanta, Georgia, Shanekka of Griffin, Georgia, Shambretta and Almatha of Perry, Georgia, and a host of aunt, uncles, and beloved friends.
