Mr. Anthony "Tony" Myrick

Albany, Georgia

The Omega Chapter of Mr. Anthony Myrick, affectionately known as “Tony” was written on November 18, 2023, when he was called home to eternal rest. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 29, 1968 to Jacqueline Myrick and Aaron Yarbrough. At an early age, he was introduced to God at Jerusalem Grove Baptist Church in Smithville, GA where he sung in the choir. His spiritual development continued at New Direction Christian Church in Albany GA under the leadership of the late Apostle Izell Williams (now Senior Pastor Teresa Williams). He was a graduate of Lee County High School Trojans, class of 1987. Tony was a great sportsman of  football, baseball, and basketball; where he assisted the basketball team, of Lee County Trojans to a State Championship in 1985. He was a sophomore on the Varsity Team – Tony loved playing ball! He pursued a career in trucking logistics for over 25 years where he later established his business called, “Anthony Myrick Trucking.”  

He is preceded in death by his father, Aaron Yarbrough; BigMa - Elfleta Myrick, aunts, Mattie Myrick and Evelyn Solomon, uncles Willie James Pope, Great Uncles Joseph Myrick, and James Myrick and great aunt Odessa Myrick-Little.

He leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to his beloved family which includes his two beautiful daughters, Mrs. Markeia (Travis) Banks and Ms. Jasmine Kearse both of Americus, GA., and one handsome son, Mr. Anthony DeVon Myrick, of Greenville, SC. His devoted mother, Mrs. Jacqueline Myrick (Larry) Lane, of Albany, GA.  His loving siblings, Mr. Vincent Myrick, of Philadelphia, PA., Ms. Tonya Myrick, of Smithville, GA., Mr. Richard (Anita) Myrick, of Columbus, GA, Mrs. Deatrice (Reginald) Harris, of Americus GA. Ten grandchildren Makenzie Cromer, Adriana Myrick, DeAngelo Kearse Jr., Aaron Mitchell Jr., Ashton Mitchell, Jaidence Kearse, Alayah Myrick, Amiyah Myrick, Travion Banks, and Teaira Banks. Three uncles, Mr. Henry (Panella) Myrick, of Hephzibah, GA., Mr. Thomas (Bonita) Myrick, of Philadelphia, PA, and Mr. Earnest Solomon, of Americus, GA.; five aunts Ms. Linda Thompson, of Philadelphia, PA., Ms. Crystal Yarbrough, Ms. Vickie Price and Ms. Danielle Yarbrough, all of Detroit, MI. One great-aunt, Ms. Etta Laryea, of Detroit, MI. His nieces and nephews: Ms. LaTiah Hayes-Myrick, Mrs. Ja’Kkay (Rickcoy) Warren, Ms. La’Kaylor Peterson, Ms. Keasia Prince, Mr. C. Vincent Myrick, and Mr. Justin Myrick-Jimmerson.   His significant other, Ms. Jacqueline Montgomery of Lancaster, SC. Cousins who were raised as siblings: Mr. Jerry Myrick, Mr. Leroy (Cassandra) Myrick, Mr. Ricky (Teresa) Myrick, Mrs. Crystal (Paul) Goldsmith; Ms. Constance Harris; a host of cousins and friends
