Anthony Treneal Mitchell, affectionally known as Ant, was born July 17, 1983, in Albany, Ga to OC Mitchell Jr and Dorothy Mitchell (Miller). He was the baby boy of the two sons birthed from their union. He was raised in Edison Ga, where he attended Calhoun County schools.
He was a graduating member of Calhoun County High School, class of 2001.
At an early age Ant found love for basketball and has been playing ever since. He played point guard on his high school varsity basketball team where he wowed the crowds with his 3 point shooting skills, agility, and finesse. He was a show stopper.
Anthony met his wife Brandis Luttrell-Mitchell in 2003. They shared a love that encompassed all and produced a beautiful daughter from their union. Anthony also has an additional daughter and son who he loved unconditionally. Ant was an affectionate father and had a close bond with his children. His oldest daughter inherited his charisma and sense of style, his youngest daughter is his doppelganger; taking after him on the court. His baby boy is chill under pressure and a great gamer, like his father. Anthony's personality is embedded in each of his children.
Ant worked as a freight delivery driver at FedEx and a transporter at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Although short in stature he always made a big impression. His personality could not be contained, especially on the court. He was truly a force to be reckoned with.
On 1/27/24 at 3:48am Anthony departed this life to enter his final resting place, where he will watch over his loved ones. He leaves to cherish in his memory: his devoted wife of 20 years Brandis Luttrell-Mitchell (Savannah, GA), His adorable children Amirra Mitchell (Savannah, GA), Za'Miya Mitchell & Christopher Mitchell (Both of Albany GA), his supportive parents OC and Dorothy Mitchell (Edison Ga), a brother Jermaine Mitchell (Tanya); of Albany GA, a nephew Javontaveious Mitchell (Jalyn); of Albany GA, a niece Jamya Mitchell (Statesboro GA), a Great-nephew Jace Mitchell; a Great-niece Jordyn Mitchell (Both of Albany GA). He also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends who all adored him.
